Pot of Gold 18 September 2014

Leaving school yesterday, this rainbow greeted me compelling me to lift my head out of the dark thoughts swirling around in my brain all day, and remember the promise of God.

So far as I’m concerned, the wheels of justice are made of square cement blocks. People talk of families getting justice for crimes committed against their loved ones, but can there really be such a thing in this life? The crime cannot be undone, the pain and loss are palpable, the headstone carved and resting over her ashes.

Yet, God has promised and I rely on that promise–blessing in the midst of unspeakable sorrow.

  1. Kathy Cordes says:

Praying for you and your family. Justice will happen, it is not likely in our time frame though. My heart cries for Cathy and the pains she experienced here on this world. Some comfort comes from knowing she still enjoyed the beauty of our world. Comfort also comes from knowing there are no more tears in heaven.
