Sally Gerard, me, was born in Omaha, Nebraska. I was named after the patron saint of mothers, and so was my older brother and younger sister. I have many brothers and sisters–they total 16 including me (some steps and some foster).
I have lived in Colorado since 1982.
Growing up, watching Star Trek was standard in the family hence my tendency to science fiction. I spent a lot of time making up stories in my mind and writing some of them down in a locking diary. I still have it.
I spent over twenty years running resident horse camps for all ages of youth and adults and of course I have a love for all things horse and horsey. This will always be central in my writing, no matter the genre. I’m a western, “Little House on the Prairie” kind of woman!
I really enjoyed your post. What is funny about this is that I thought I was following the blog of Sally Girard, who went to Central Michigan University with me (and a fellow journalists). I enjoy the posts I’ve read so far; it was a happy accident.
