Frogs 23 May 2018

Where do frogs go when it’s too dry to hang out? We have to have good rains to bring them from wherever they hide out. Do they take the first frog train when the frog weather app shows the promise of good moisture?

I wonder because we never see or hear frogs unless we get a really good rain. We had one of those really good rains, and now, when I run past the cemetery before dawn, I can hear their low sweet sounds. It’s drying up, so I don’t know when they are scheduled for their return trip, and I wonder if their room comes with breakfast or if they have to fend for themselves.

And where are they off to next? I heard the rains are moving through Nebraska and the Dakotas, so I guess the frog train must follow the rain.
