What would disqualify someone from achieving hero status? For me:

cruelty would, apathy would, abusing others would;

not writing during writing time would, putting someone down would, getting in the path of someone else’s success would;

killing someone’s dream would, being an

arrogant jerk would, ignoring needs would;

laughing at the expense of others would, not trying to be the best person you can be would, pretending to be upset about circumstances you really can make better but you chose not to because you don’t want to go against the flow;

not being able to admit you make mistakes would, always looking for glory, reward, or to impress would.

I don’t know that I ever had a favorite Super Hero. I liked Iron Man and Catwoman, Batman and The Incredible Hulk for different reasons. I love Catwoman’s grace and the way she moves. I like Iron Man’s attitude-never afraid to go against the flow. I like Batman’s cool gadgets but mostly that he is humble enough to have a side-kick. And I like the way rage changes the Hulk-as if something could make you mad enough to transform yourself so you’d have the courage to change the world.
