Isn’t it amazing how a writer can follow the suffering of their characters and be helpless to do anything about it? I mean, I could end it and make it all rosy and sunny, but the pen will not cooperate with me and so the characters must figure out how to solve the problems all by themselves while I sit by and record the journey.
