On the brink of October, the morning is definitely fall like: fog, wet, cold. Some gremlin came in the night and pulled one of the insulators away from the post so the wire was hanging. I fixed that and put a freshly charged battery on the fencer and now there is a delightful zap! None of the cattle had noticed the lapse so I did no bovine chasing. 🙂 And folks wonder why my books are filled with the land and a bit of a western bent!
